Howard is a 90-year old employee at an electronics retail store. He fractured his hip while trying to shake a bag of chips loose from an employee break room vending machine. A coworker was trying to get the chips when they got stuck, and Howard volunteered to help them by shaking the machine. The weight of the machine caused Howard to fall, resulting in the hip fracture. Howard was still on the clock and not on break when he chose to help the co-worker with the vending machine.
