With HIPAA and high-tech privacy laws, the need for secure transmission of patient information is very important. Today many physicians and providers are communicating with patients via mobile devices such as smartphones, laptops, tablets, iPads. If we were to implement a new plan for mobile security at our hospital, what items should be included in the budget? Also, would new staff be required? If so, what new positions should be introduced?
