Sojourner Truth and Frederick Douglass have very different styles. yet they are both very effective speakers.
Make sure to follow directions:
1. Write your own speech. Go to YouTube and upload your recorded speech. Post the written section here and include the link to the Youtube video of your presentation for your classmates to view. Keep the speech under 5 minutes. You may write about an issue on the news that is controversial. You will have to review the Elements of a Persuasive Speech slideshow and take the quiz before posting on this discussion board.
2. Watch at least one of your classmates' speeches. Post your response to the speech.
