Wireless networks (802.11 a, b, g, & n) are subject to signal attenuation, interference, and overlap interference from neighboring wireless clouds. While 802.11 a and b WLANs are not used much any longer, being old technology, 802.11g networks are still in wide use, with 802.11n becoming the wireless design of choice. Research the differences between the four current types of "wi-fi" and determine what types of interference might be encountered depending on the types? Are any of the types more or less susceptible to attenuation? Why? Are any of the types more or less susceptible to interference? Why? Based on your research, is one of the four types clearly superior to the rest? Why? Based on your research, write an 8 to 10 page paper that analyzes the differences between 802.11 a/b/g/n. Contrast and compare these differences. Discuss any advantages of using one type of wi-fi as compared to the others and discuss how those advantages are better suited for wireless networking in an environment that has a lot of interference.
