Winston Churchill once said that the best argument against democracy was a five minute conversation with the average voter.  Given the spectacle that was congress and the recently completed presidential election  I think I would be a safe ground that they both serve as evidence of a vibrant pluralist democracy, but also are representatives of an object failure in the area of developmental democracy.  What do you think?
