Problem 4: What are your thoughts about family-owned businesses being some of the biggest business groups in the Philippines (e.g., SM group of companies by the Sy family, Robinson's group of companies by the Gokongwei family, etc.)? Do you think a "familial" structure and/or "clan" culture contributed to their success in business? Why/why not?
Problem 5: Imagine that you will establish your own business in the next 5 years. Will you follow in the footsteps of successful family-owned businesses (in terms of organizational design), or would you rather make your own path in the business world? Why?
