Outline
You have just entered a public speaking contest and you were assigned to give a speech on the same topic you chose for your persuasive speech, only this time you have to argue the opposite side from the one you argued in class. Construct a persuasive outline using the format given in class to develop a speech on that topic (research not necessary - looking for the logical progression of ideas through the main points you select to support the thesis).
Short Essay
Write three College Length Paragraphs about how you would plan this persuasive speech. What strategies would you use to appear less biased? How would you present this information to show that you have considered both sides of the argument? Will this speech be easier or harder to present than your in-class persuasive speech and why? What persuasive strategies do you plan to use and how will you effectively construct them?
