Problem
An important part of becoming a web professional is staying up to date with current technologies and trends being used by industry professionals. For this problem assume you are a Web Development Professional just starting work for a mid-sized financial services organization. Your boss, the IT Development Manager has asked you to identify a training course that you would like to take to improve your skills as a web developer and make you a more productive member of the web development team.
Your task is to explore the skill sets currently required for any of the following entry level jobs:
1) Web developer (or website developer)
2) Web designer (or Website designer)
Pick one technology, tool or framework that you think you need to learn more about. Do some research on that topic and make a one to two page paper to your manager justifying the need for more training on that topic. The paper should include the following (at minimum):
1) An overview of the technology, tool or framework and its benefit to organizations that use it.
2) Why you would like to learn this particular technology, tool or framework. Does it allow you to be more creative, strengthen your technical skills or allow you to evaluate the effectiveness of the web site better? Why does that appeal to you.
3) How might this technology, tool or framework benefit your financial services firm more specifically
4) Where might you be able to get training on this technology, tool or framework and how much might it cost?
