Select a topic for the overall project. You should have a brief statement of what your project is about.
You may use the following to begin your description: "My study is about....." Beginning with this statement will help you get directly to the point of the study. The next paragraph should discuss why you think this topic is important. Follow this with a paragraph explaining how you will pursue your study.
You might want to use an outline format with the requirements of the following parts of the SLP as subtopic headings:
The following statement (completed): "My study is about..."
Why you perceive this to be a problem worthy of study and how you will approach it.
A brief description of your knowledge and/or experience in the area around which the problem revolves.
Whatever you write, you may change, broaden, or narrow any of it in a future module. It's a good idea to choose a topic you are naturally interested in or curious about, or that addresses a real problem in your professional life.
