The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics guides the work of all social workers regardless of the setting. It is imperative that medical social workers evaluate and analyze how the standards set forth in the Code of Ethics apply specifically to health care settings and medical situations.
To prepare for this Discussion, review this resources including the NASW Code of Ethics. Focus on the ethical standards and select three standards that you consider important to the practice of medical social work.
Task
Post a brief explanation of the three ethical standards you selected and why you have chosen these standards as being important. Then, provide one example for each standard of how medical social workers would apply these standards to their practice.
