CORE POLITICAL PROJECT "FORMS OF POLITICAL PARTICIPATION"
OVERVIEW: ln order to meet the qualifications of the College Core Curriculum for this course, all students required to complete the following "Core Political Project" Failure to do will necessitate a Final Grade of "Incomplete" (I) for the course, even if all other course assessments have been met.
INSTRUCTION: Read the following "Assignment Topic" and prepare a 5 to 6 paw paper that clearly and succinctly addresses the questions raised and/or opinion requested. In preparing your paper you may confer with any of your fellow classmates, and/or use whatever learning resources you prefer, with the exception of your professor. Although you must double-space your content, you may type your paper utilizing any Standard format. In addition make sure to cite your sources in proper footnote fashion, using any accepted footnote style.
ASSIGNMENT TOPIC: Based on our overview and -analysis al politics and the American Political system this semester, 1) explain in detail why it is imperative that "we the people" exercise our right and responsibility to participate in the American democratic political process, and 2) specifically provide "evidence" of six forms of your own political participation over the last year (11/1/14 to 11/1/15), and for each example describe:
a) WHY you decided to engage: in this particular form of political participation'.
b) HOW you actually involved yourself in this particular form of political participation: and
c) WHAT outcome you received and its impact on the political community in the future as a result of this particular form of participation.
