In the second assigned paper, Timmerman argues that we have reason to reject Singer's second premise. In particular, Timmerman takes issue with Singer's Drowning Child example and provides his own counter thought experiment, Drowning Children, in response. For Part B, first summarize Drowning Children, making sure to point out the relevant differences between this scenario and Singer's Drowning Child. Next, explain why Timmerman believes that his thought experiment paints a more realistic picture of donating to charities than Singer's. Finally, show why Timmerman believes that this counter thought experiment gives us reason to reject Singer's second premise.
