o What are the elements of the corrections system and briefly describe each.
o Provide an example of change and how that change effected other parts of the system. e.g. when the death penalty was abolished in New Jersey, how did this effect correctional practices in the local jails?
o Explain why studying corrections from a systems framework is an effective way to examine this complex and controversial criminal justice component.
