Why some of the nodes would still have statically assigned

As a consultant for the Frist National Bank of Monroe, you have been asked to update the IPv4 addressing scheme for the bank's regional office as well as for its two smaller branches. Nodes added within the last 2 years use DHCP, but some of those installed long ago still have statically assigned IP addresses. The network has grown from 24 workstations and three servers to 48 work-stations and six servers in that time, all of which are running Windows operating systems. Can you guess why some of the nodes would still have statically assigned IP address? Desscribe What types of problems could result from having a mix of statically assigned and dynamically assigned addresses on the same network. Then describe the steps you would take to change the address assignment properties for a Windows 7 workstation. Is there a way you could modify the addressing properties of the workstations at each small office remotely, without having to visit those offices? Why and why not?
