Briefly describe the relevant features of the case of Mr. Williams. From the description in the article, Mr. Williams appears competent of mind. He is terminally ill. The sense of being in control (self-determination) is important to him. Should patients like Mr. Williams be permitted to choose how and when they die? Should physicians who support the practice of physician-assisted suicide being permitted to prescribe such medicine? Answer within the context of the arguments advanced by Brock and Arras. Has the implementation of the Oregon Death with Dignity Act fundamentally altered the role of the physician in the state of Oregon?
