Why people really get together and stay together

Problem

It's finally over. And, you watched it all. From each contestant's introductory interview to the end-of-season "After the Final Rose" special, you watched 30 contestants compete for the favor of one lucky bachelor or bachelorette. In the end, the happy couple sat on stage and confessed to host Chris Harrison that they were, in fact, "soul mates." You, however, know this is a lie-partially because these relationships always fall apart, but also because you're a social psychologist and know the truth about why people really get together and stay together. Why, according to Social Psychology, do people really get together, stay together, and break up? Directly reference functional distance, mere exposure, similarity attraction, standards of beauty, the matching hypothesis, and the social exchange theory in your response.

The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
