Why people enact a front stage in all types of situations

Problem: For this journal, you will need to find examples of both vitally important times (perhaps when it could mean life or death) in which someone must maintain a strong front stage presentation of self and rather frivolous times but when people still do try hard to maintain a particular presentation of self. Find two examples of each (serious vs. frivolous) from the recent news, recent social media, or film/television. In one paragraph each, explain what is going on for this person, what they do to maintain face, and why they feel the need to do so. In a fifth, final paragraph, explain the difference between these two polar opposite kinds of times--using concepts from Cahill and Cunningham et al. talk about why people enact a front stage in all types of situations, even when they others might think it doesn't matter. How do they differ in terms of the impact on the person as well as the impact on the situation?
