Essay Problem
Write a narrative essay (minimum of 1000 words) which addresses the questions and statements below. When finished, the essay should demonstrate a thorough understanding of the READ and ATTEND sections. A minimum of three scholarly sources are required, and all sources should be cited and referenced in APA format.
I. What factors might you consider when analyzing a research problem? What tasks are usually included in crafting an effective research project?
II. How are scholarly reference works useful to college-level researchers? Why must researchers use caution when using information from blogs, discussion lists, news groups, and even news sites? Why is Wikipedia an inappropriate source for college research?
III. Name two strategies for maintaining good research notes, notes that will help you avoid inadvertent plagiarism.
IV. What should a writer do if she or he is quoting frequently but paraphrasing little and summarizing less? How can you distinguish your own ideas from those that you have borrowed?
The response should include a reference list. Using double-space, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
