Essay Problem: Exploring Observation Topics
Using the "Point of Contact" questions in the CEL as a guide (CEL CH. 4, p.77), write down 2-3 ideas of places or groups or communities that you can observe for a length of time in preparation for the Observation Essay problem.
Choose a specific person or place that you think would make the best subject for your observation, and use this subject to answer the following questions.
• Who or what is this group/place/community? Why specifically did you select this subject?
• Given your personal circumstances (work schedule; health restrictions due to COVID, etc.; lack of personal transportation, etc), how will you be able to observe this subject for at least 1 hour, 2-3 different times?
• Why is this group or place or community significant? Why do you think audiences would be interested in your observations of this group or place or community?
The response must include a reference list. One-inch margins, double-space, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
