Why is the document important

Assignment: Primary Source Analysis

Read and analyze it. Your paper should be composed of three paragraphs of roughly the same length:

o The first paragraph should be a brief summary of the primary source (who wrote it, what it is about, etc.)

o The second paragraph should be placing the document in its historical context using specific references to the textbook (with page numbers). For example: Why is the document important? Why was it important at that specific time? What was happening at the time?

o The final paragraph should be your impression of the document. For example: Was it what you expected? Did it enhance your understanding of the time period? Did the author seem to have ulterior motives? What questions did the document leave you with.

Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:

(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.

(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.

(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
