a. Why is prevention better than correction?

b. Why is correction important?

c. Provide an example of a prevention technique in use*. Describe the technique and any advantages or disadvantages.

d. Perform an FMEA*. Describe the thing, component, process, situation, etc. that is analyzed. Prepare a table Recommend corrective action. You do not have to take the corrective action (but if you did, explain any results).

For c, describe something with which you are familiar; do not use internet or book data.

For d, actually perform the FMEA. The analysis will have to be for something with which you are familiar (industrial if possible). Do not use an internet or book example.
