Why is ocean acidification called climate changes

Assignment Task: Why is ocean acidification called climate changes "equally evil twin"?

Based on what we learned in chapter six, many species in the sea are unable to adapt quickly enough to survive as the ocean becomes acidified. This is due to the speed at which we have pumped 150 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide into the air. It is too much, too fast for them to adapt.

When discussing the disappearing species around the vents, Hall-Spencer said, "You give them generations on generations to survive in these conditions, and yet they're not there." They presumably had several hundreds of years to adapt but did not.

Is the impact of ocean acidification on ocean life worse than that of global warming on the rest of the planet and the species that live on land?
