(1) Why is it important to know what you believe and why you believe it? It is important to know what you believe in and why you believe in it, for the simple fact that this forms who you are. You reflect your values around the principal and concepts that you believe. These values describes your actions on everyday living and decisions. Demonstrating as an example to everyone around you. If you believe the world is flat than you

Identify what you believe about God, the Bible, and Jesus Christ. Why do you believe them? John the Baptist says in John 3:16-17, " For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." Jesus is my joy, my salvation, and my lord, in which no one can take from me. I also believe that the Bible is God's Holy word which was meant to give us truth and understanding of His unfailing love.

(2) Having faith without understanding only provides deception. For example, it is important to our conscience and body that believing in a hot or cold cup of tea will give us a positive or negative result to our body. If we know the state the cup of tea is, we will justify our actions in approaching it with caution or not which in turn defines our logic. You would not quickly grab a tea cup of hot tea knowingly. You would carefully adjust your fingertips around the handle, cautiously picking it up. If we know what we believe, then it convicts us that it must be based on evidence.

Jesus said "I am the way and the truth and the light no one comes to the Father but through me" John 14:6 NAS. I often ask myself why are we, as a race, are alive? What is our purpose in this life? For in the beginning, God created man in His own image so that we worship Him, our Creator, our Father. But for someone who does not believe in Creation, he must look at evidence of the Bible. Evidences proven over time and time again of events, description of the stars depicted in the book of Job when man has yet to define our solar system. The compounding evidence gives us truth that the human was created, so why were we created? The answer is in Genesis 1 when God created man in His own image. Our purpose was to worship and admonish our creator but given our fall from grace, we have been redeemed through the blood of Christ and given the hope of eternal life through baptism.
