From the 15th century, people from Europe and Africa migrated to the Americas under very different circumstances: choice or force. Europeans migrated largely by choice; Africans were largely kidnapped by slave traders and brought to the Americas against their will. Remember that both Europeans and Africans came from culturally rich and complex societies. Explain two elements of European culture and history, and two elements of African culture and history (in Africa) BEFORE 1492 that stand out to you from the reading.
