Research a specific franchise opportunity or 2) research a general article or two on franchising.
For option 1) post your responses to the following questions:
1. What is the name of the franchise and the type of business it is.
2. How much is the initial investment? What does that include? Do you have other capital investments not covered by the franchisor? If so, what are those and what are their estimated cost?
3. How much do you have to pay in royalties on a monthly basis?
4. What kind of training/support is provided to franchisees?
5. Given what you have learned in the course and based on your research, do you think this franchise is a good investment opportunity? Why or why not?
For option 2) post your response to the following questions:
1. What kinds of things should you look for when buying a franchise? Is it worth it?
2. What are some advantages/disadvantages of purchasing a franchise?
3. Why is franchising important to small business expansion?
4. Have you had experience with franchising or know someone who did?
