Why does this value equal the shear value at point


Per the linked problem: I don't understand how the shear calculation is done. Why is Vf and Vb 333.33 lb.ft? I understand how to get the Rb value and somewhat why it is equal to Vb, but why does this value equal the shear value at point f. As well, any explanation of the moment formula used would be very helpful.
