Discussion Post: Gerontology Abuse
There have been many reports regarding abuse happening in nursing homes and the level of care is not up to par or not even up to standards guided by various medical boards and institutions. Oftentimes many families are left caring for their parents in their home without adequate and around the clock medical care due to the gerontology abuse that happens so often in many nursing home facilities. Why do you think there is so much gerontology abuse that happens in nursing home facilities and what can be done to stop it?
