Try not to directly quote the article. Rather, express your ideas/interpretation in your own words; this is paraphrasing.
Next, cite the source of the information used (the article).
In most cases, will want to use paraphrasing from now on when using information from other sources, rather than using direct quotations. By paraphrasing, you are demonstrating your understanding of the subject matter.
In contrast, direct quotations tend to clutter up our writing for a reader UNLESS it is the best way to express something very unique.
