1- Why do you think James Joyce's short story "Araby" ends on the following lines: "Gazing up into the darkness I saw myself as a creature driven and derided by vanity; and my eyes burned with anguish and anger" (283). What is the narrator's realization at this point? What has led to this realization? How does this relate to the theme of escapism?
