Why do you suppose this method is no longer used that is

Question: Wundt, Titchener, and most other early psychologists used experimental introspection, conducted by highly trained individuals, as their most important observational tool.

a) Why do you suppose this method is no longer used? That is, what is wrong with it?

b) Does it have any 'descendants?' That is, are there methods used in today's cognitive science that resemble introspection in any way? How so? And how are they different?

Please do not cite answers. You can put the answer right under the questions. Also, do not send me a paper. I just need a paragraph for each question.
