Do you agree with Keynes's belief that industrialized countries will soon reach a point where needs will be "satisfied in the sense that we prefer to devote our further energies to noneconomic purposes"? Do you think that we are any closer to this point than 1930, when Keynes wrote his essay? Do you see any evidence that this is starting to occur?
