WRITING ASSIGNMENT: TO SAY OR NOT TO SAY
Read the attached case and draft a memo to Rita in response to a request from her for help with the dilemma.
You will need to recommend a decision for Rita and write an argument to support it. Specify the major options you think she has and use relevant criteria and evidence from the case to build the argument for your recommendation.
Word limit: maximum 800 words
EVALUATION CRITERIA FOR "TO SAY OR NOT TO SAY"
Here are the main criteria I will use to evaluate your assignment:
• Do you clearly state the decision options Rita has and the decision she should make?
• Is the writing easy for a reader to follow, and is your writing style clear, correct, and concise?
• Is your analysis thorough and your argument complete in the ways discussed in class?
• Does the memo have high skim value (i.e. an introductory paragraph that well captures the main thrust of your argument, topic sentences in paragraphs well capture the argument/point being advanced in the paragraph, each paragraph is about one thing)
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
