Problem: In his translation and commentary on the Heat Sutra, Thich Nhat Hanh refers to the Perfected Wisdom surrounding the idea of Emptiness as the most liberating insight, the highest and most illuminating Mantra, and as the True Wisdom that has the power to end all types of suffering. If this idea of Perfected Wisdom is such a powerful and important insight, why did the historical Buddha himself never teach it?
