Problem: Answer the following question please: Cybersecurity is one of the biggest challenges for Homeland Security today. As technology connects government agencies, critical infrastructure, and private organizations, cyber threats are becoming more frequent and complex. These attacks can disrupt essential services, expose sensitive data, and threaten national security. To learn more about this issue, I reviewed two peer-reviewed journal articles that examine cybersecurity from different Homeland Security perspectives. The first article, Cavelty (2014), looks at how cybersecurity has become a major issue for both national and international security. The author explains that because modern societies rely heavily on digital networks, they are vulnerable to cyberattacks that can affect government, the economy, and critical infrastructure. The article points out that cybersecurity is not just a technical problem; it also involves political and social challenges that need cooperation between governments, private organizations, and international partners. Cavelty stresses that good cybersecurity strategies should balance security with privacy, civil liberties, and public trust. The second article, by Bada, Sasse, and Nurse (2019), focuses on the human side of cybersecurity. The authors question the idea that employees are always the weakest link. Instead, they say that many organizations do not build a security culture that supports safe behavior. Their research shows that cybersecurity is more effective when organizations offer strong training, clear communication, and supportive. Need Assignment Help?
