why are most ammoniotelic beings aquatic

Why are most ammoniotelic beings aquatic animals?

Aquatic animals, like crustaceans, bony fishes and amphibian larvae, usually are ammoniotelic since ammonia diffuses more easily by membranes and it is more water-soluble than the other nitrogen wastes. Ammonia is still the most energetically economical nitrogen waste to be synthesized.
