After reviewing the materials in the lesson (presentation, articles, the documentary on wrongful convictions and prosecutorial misconduct conference):
- Select someone who was exonerated and released from prison over the past few decades (1980-2020).
- What specifically led to their wrongful conviction?
- How did they end up getting exonerated?
- What was the process to get them exonerated?
- Have they been compensated? if they have not been compensated explain why. Discuss the compensation policies in the state where they were exonerated. If they have been compensate, explain the details of their compensation.
- What has the exoneree been doing since his/her release?
