I chose this article because it talks about how climate change is making disasters like floods and wildfires worse, and how some communities are hit harder than others. It connects to environmental quality since these disasters damage our air, water, and land; but it also highlights environmental equity, because low-income areas and marginalized groups often have fewer resources to prepare or recover.
I believe everyone is affected in some way, but the responsibility for fixing the issue should be shared. Local and federal governments need to plan for climate resilience, while communities and individuals push for fair policies, and take steps to protect themselves.
