Why are 4 baby aspirins 81 mg x 4 po chewable tablets given

Why are 4 baby aspirins (81 mg) x 4 PO (Chewable tablets) given to a adult suspected cardiac patient rather than 1 aspirin (325mg)? They equal the same dosage. Any thoughts? These are the SOP's but why?
