1) Identify the criminal justice agencies that may want to claim jurisdiction in all three of the case studies

2) Explain briefly why each agency would want to claim jurisdiction and what the benefit would be to each agency.

3) Explain briefly why an agency may NOT want to assume jurisdiction.

4) To what degree should ethical considerations, such as what is best for the victim, the community, or even the offender, factor into jurisdictional decisions?

Part II:

In 500 to 700 words.

1) Select one of the case studies discussed in Part 1. Then, choose one of the agencies and imagine that you are going to argue to your superior that your agency deserves jurisdiction.

2) Write a report explaining why your agency deserves-or may not want-jurisdiction. Expand upon and build support for the brief explanation from above.

Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:

(1) The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.

(2) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.

(3) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
