My questions for you this week are as follows:
Do human beings do better with more government or less government in their lives and in society? Is a strong government the 'great equalizer' among people, or does strong government hold human beings back from reaching their individual creative and financial potential? Who's ideas make more sense to you, Thomas Hobbes or John Locke? What should governments prioritize: individual rights or the 'greater good'?
This exercise must be submitted as a Word Document to the 'Critical Engagement Exercise 2'. Submissions should be a page-and-a-half to two-pages in length and ORIGINAL. Unlike last week's exercise--which was a 'freestyle' format--I want to challenge each of you to try your best to write from a seemingly neutral, objective perspective with your narrative. In other words, try your best not to write from the perspective of "I", "me", "my", "you", etc. Also try to limit your use of contractions.
