It must be 3-5 pages (double spaced, Times New Roman font, appropriate grammar/punctuation/paragraph formatting). It must be submitted in a .docx format.
You will need outside sources for either option. You must cite these appropriately. They MUST be legitimate ‘academic' or media sources- NO blogs or ‘opinion' pieces.
Write what happened in the 2016 Presidential Election.
Points to make sure you cover:
Who were the candidates (major party and important 3rd party)?
What did pre-election polling expect?
Why were the polls so wrong?
What were the major battleground states (hint- which were contested/having recounts)?
Who won the popular national vote?
Who won the Electoral College (you must explain how the Electoral College works)?
Who is the next president?
Opinion- what does this mean for the next four years in terms of policy (MUST- be politically correct language)?
