Who uses Facebook and why? Are they an audience that purchases designer goods?
· Facebook appeals to a wide audience that cuts across age, race, religion, and ethnicity. Users generally want to connect with others in their social and professional networks. Other people use Facebook to stay in touch with loved ones and friends who live far away (Indvik 2011).
· Facebook is able to use the personal information it has about users to ensure that those most likely to be interested in purchasing the products from Tory Burch see the adverts from the company. This way the advert has the maximum intended impact. It would not be viable or effective for Facebook to show the same advert to all its users.
