Who swam in a resort pool became ill

Problem

I. A foodborne illness outbreak occurred at an American Mensa conference held in the Borgata Hotel and Casino. Four hundred hotel registrants were questioned, and 200 of them were conference attendees. 60 Mensa members became ill with vomiting and diarrhea and 140 Mensa conference attendees did not exhibit any symptoms of illness. Seventy-five non-conference attendees became ill with similar symptoms, and 125 hotel guests who weren't attending the conference had no symptoms. Set up the 2 x 2 table

II. In a case control study of environmental exposures, 200 subjects who live in close proximity to a trichloroethylene groundwater contamination site were studied. Eighty individuals had angiosarcoma of the liver and were found to have consumed contaminated water, while 60 did not have the disease and were not exposed. Forty were exposed and did not have the disease, and 20 had the disease and were not exposed. Setup the 2x2 table and calculate the appropriate rate of risk.

III. In a cohort study of 300 members of the Men of Leisure Club who took a vacation to the Bahamas, 170 became infected with giardiasis. One hundred twenty-nine (129) who swam in a resort pool became ill, and 94 who did not swim did not become ill. Set up the 2x2 table and calculate the appropriate rate of risk.
