Who is the targeted audience for your survey

Problem

For this portion of your Problem/Solution Presentation project, you will step into the role of the researcher by creating a survey that will provide information about your problem and/or solution(s). Your first steps are to figure out what you want to know from those you survey, who can provide this information, and how to ask questions that will result in information that will be useful to you.

Topic: Immigration and its costs

A. What information related to your problem and/or potential solution(s) do you want to gain through your survey? For example, you might be seeking background information on your problem, specifics about who the problem affects, opinions on the viability of various solutions, etc.

B. Who is the targeted audience for your survey? (Who will provide the information you need-a general audience, professionals in your field, classmates, etc.?)

C. Once your survey is created, your participants will access it through a URL. How will you reach your audience? For example, via social media, through workplace email, by messaging classmates through the "inbox" feature of the class (in the far left-hand column of the course site), etc.

D. List at least three survey questions (and answer choices) you will ask that will lead to gaining the information you are seeking. Ask multiple-choice questions or open-ended questions (where participants can fill in their own answers). Do not ask yes/no questions. Also, make sure the questions you ask are different enough from each other that they will lead to gaining new information for each question asked.
