Assignment:
You should use the CIA World Factbook or any other online resources to find out some basic information about the country. Write a short description of the country considering at least the following points, in addition to any other information that you think is important for understanding their development trajectory. About 500 words. (Citation doesn't count) (Chicago Format) (font 12).
1. Who is the leader of the country? How long have they been in power? What type of government does the country have?
2. Was the country ever colonized? If so, by whom? When did they achieve independence?
3. Has the country been a part of any wars (civil or international) in the past 50 years? When did they occur? What were they about?
4. What are the major industries in the country? What can you figure out about how their economy is organized (free market, planned, etc.)?
5. Have there been any major economic crises in the country? If so, when? Can you tell what happened?
