Bias on Gay in America
"Who is the girl, and who is the guy in your relationship?" gay might be asked by this kind of questions over and over again. By definition, Gay is a term that primarily refers to a homosexual person or the trait of being homosexual, and it was originally used to mean "carefree", "happy", or "bright and showy".The term is used as a reference to homosexuality may date as early as the late 19th century, but its use gradually increased in the 20th century. The attitude toward gay is different based on the different culture and religions. America is a country with various culture, races and religions, and it purposes the liberty and freedom. However, there still exists bias on gay although federal government located in Washington D.C shows their positive attitude toward gay during the presidency of Obama. The bias on gay and transgendered people should be eliminated, which is hard because of the public stereotype.
