Article: "Judge Rules That Cherokee Freedmen Have Right To Tribal Citizenship" by Kat Chow.

Some Native American tribes enslaved Africans. Some of these Africans accompanied 46,000 Native Americans, members of the 5 Tribes, who had been forced to leave their lands by the U.S. Government with The Indian Removal Act of 1830; they walked 1000 miles to the modern-day state of Oklahoma.

First, read this NPR article "How Native American Slaveholders Complicate the Trail of Tears Narrative" By Ryan P. Smith on Cherokee Freedmen. Then, read the article in Smithsonian Magazine. Was this ruling correct or not? If yes, why? If no, why not?

The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
