Case 1
This is a 28-year-old patient who presents today expressing anxiety over the fact that his father was just diagnosed with Crohn's disease. His father is 60 years old and has had GI problems for many years. The patient says he is experiencing some of the same problems his father had prior to this diagnosis, and he would like a complete physical exam to rule out Crohn's disease. A complete physical was performed with no abnormal findings.
Case 2
While traveling out of state, Joan was injured after a fall down six concrete steps. She went to the emergency room at the local hospital and received 13 sutures in her left thigh. Joan now presents to her PCP who will remove the sutures. After exam of the area, which was without infection or oozing, the sutures were successfully removed.
Case 3
Joe is an 82-year-old male who presents today for a fitting and adjustment of his hearing aid. He has had marked hearing loss in the left ear, and his doctor prescribed a hearing aid. We ordered the aid, and now Joe will try to see if we need to make any adjustments to the way it fits.
