Briefly discuss the welfare effects on domestic and international consumers and producers of agricultural products resulting from trade protection. Discuss TWO reasons, other than possible desirable welfare effects, why agriculture seems to be more protected by import tariffs, quotas, agricultural subsidies and exports subsidies than other sectors.
