Problem: Explain which strategy the leader used to minimize this person's resistance to change using the recommendations provided in Exhibit 9.3. If the leader did not minimize the resistance to change, what strategy would you have recommended they use and why? Someone who was resistant to the change was the night shift Maintenance Manager. I feel he fit into the reasons for resistance to change in the flowing categories: Uncertainty, Lack of confidence that change will succeed and Lack of conviction that change is necessary. He was comfortable with the old ways of doing things. He felt that the communication we were given was not very clear and a lacked why the change was necessary.
